Hand-engraved by well-known American artist Marsh Nelson, this original mid-century pyrography artwork features two tall birds (storks?) and is titled "water birds". It is perfect for coastal wall decor. Cast in beige and brown, it's a vintage piece that'll add character to your space.
• Original Artwork signed by Marsh Nelson, with title and information on the reverse
• Hand-engraved / burned Wood Art
• Features Water Birds Design
• Mid Century Pyrography Art
• Perfect for Coastal Wall Decor
• Beige and Brown Color Palette
• Vintage, Mid Century Modern Style
Marsh Nelson majored in art at University of California, Berkeley and has been painting for over 50 years. She lives and works in Vallejo, California. The work of Marsh Nelson is widely collected in California and nationwide.
I believe this piece is an early example of her work, probably from the 1950's (because the San Francisco phone number on the reverse has no area code, and the second San Francisco area code was introduced in 1959).
Features:
• Vintage, Mid Century Modern, Wood, Original Artwork, Coastal Wall Decor
• Made in United States
Measurements:
Height 15 in / 38 cm
Width 9.5 in / 24 cm
Condition: Pre-Owned Good
Overall in very good vintage condition. It does have a few small scuffs, and a bit of tiny touch-ups on the black paint on the edges.
